SAN

Inspired by the Vietnamese phản and sập - low timber platforms that once organised domestic life around a single horizontal plane - our SAN revisits one of Vietnam's enduring furniture archetypes through reduction. 

The collection is resolved as a single oak-clad tabletop supported by four steel corner legs. Structure retreats to the perimeter, leaving the space beneath entirely open. Timber and steel remain visually distinct, separated by a continuous shadow reveal that gives the tabletop a sense of suspension. The defining gesture is concentrated at the corner, where timber and metal legs converge into a single architectural detail.

In reducing the table to its essential elements, SAN reflects District Eight's approach to craftsmanship, where structure defines form and materials anchor the experience. Available as coffee and dining tables, SAN is a simple and quietly expressive design that brings people together.
